Q1 2021 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in Europe on Android

In the first quarter of 2021, the Android platform saw varying performance across the top five theme parks applications in Europe. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers us a glimpse into the download and active user trends for these entertainment apps.

Starting with Karls, the app experienced a peak in downloads in mid-March with approximately 7.6K new users, followed by a decline to about 3K towards the end of the month. Since the app generated no revenue during this period, the focus remained on its download and active user figures.

Parque Warner Madrid showed an upward trend in downloads, starting from a modest 1.6K at the end of December 2020 and escalating to nearly 2.8K by the end of March. The weekly active users mirrored this positive trend, growing from 2.1K to 3.3K in the same timeframe.

My Disney Experience maintained a relatively stable number of downloads throughout the quarter, with a slight peak of 557 in the third week of February before dropping to around 351 by the end of March. The app's active users showed a slight decrease, starting from 1.2K in late December and dipping to 928 by the end of March.

Another popular app, Disneyland® Paris, saw its downloads fluctuate, with a peak of 456 in the first week of March, then decreasing to 169 by the month's end. Weekly active users also declined from 4.2K at the end of December to roughly 2.2K by the end of March.

Lastly, Puy du Fou - España joined the list later in the quarter with its data starting in mid-March. It kicked off with 397 downloads and quickly rose to over 1.3K in the following weeks, marking a strong entry into the market.
